voice, video and data traffic simply and securely with the Charter Business Layer
3 VPN Service.
HOW YOU CAN USE IT
Charter Business Layer 3 VPN Service is based on an underlying Multiprotocol Label
Switching (MPLS) platform. It allows you to:

- METRO AND LONG-HAUL CONNECTIVITY
Link business locations within a metro area as well as offices dispersed across
the country. Metro and long-haul service* is available wherever Charter Business
offers service across the country.
- SCALABILITY
With Charter Business, you can easily grow your traffic from 10Mbps up to 10Gbps
as needed and add other fiber locations to your network anywhere within the Charter
footprint. Additionally, you have the ability to migrate voice, data, video and
other traffic consolidated over one network over time.
- CONTROL AND VISIBILITY
Charter Business Layer 3 VPN puts the visibility and routing control of your network
into your hands. If you are running a network with more than two endpoints, you
can now control whether each endpoint is fully meshed or has restricted access and
make changes as necessary through BGP routing. Plus, because you can integrate voice,
video and data traffic over one network, you have one point of control for multiple
traffic types.
- EASY INTEGRATION
As a Layer 3 service, you can easily integrate this service with existing Layer
3 equipment via a standardized IEEE interface.
- NETWORK DIVERSITY
Since our network was built from the ground up it is often inherently physically
diverse from traditional telecom providers, whose networks typically travel the
same physical pathways.
